  • In 'spare time' during 2010/11 Roger was National Chairman at the Federation of Small Businesses, for Economic Activity, Sources of Finance & Tax Affairs appearing before Parliamentary Select Committees & making submissions to the Independent Commission for Banking

  • Since 2001 it has built up a larger network of funders with good Customer Service records & a Flexible approach, to support  Avocet’s clients
  • The funding portfolio spans Leasing, Re-Leasing, Invoice Discounting, Stock Finance, Commercial Mortgages, Loans & Equity, with many non High Street Bank respectable & well established funders
  • Business Advice is focused around the 1=4 Increased Business Value Programme, where after a Professional Business Valuation, Avocet works with the client to increase Business Value
  • Selling Businesses involves Avocet in working closely with the client in a stressful period, finding potential buyers, ensuring they are well funded, negotiating on price & deal structure, helping Instruct an appropriate Solicitor, & generally Project Managing the whole process whilst leaving the key decisions for the Business Owner
  • 70% of new Instructions are generated by Referrals (including form 3 ogf the Top 10 UK Accountancy Firms), 20% from the Avocet Newsletter (“the Private Eye of Corporate Finance”), & 5% form Avocet Seminars & the 2 Business Owners Clubs it has established
  • The 'Avocet' is a wading bird which successfully recolonised in Suffolk after a 100 year absence: it has since grown its breeding population from humble beginnings. Wading through mud & growth from humble beginnings seem synonymous with the SME market !!
